Youth House across the church parking lot

Wenatchee First United Methodist Church provides a safe environment where youth can build community, explore their knowledge and love of God, and serve others. Through our program we believe youth will grow and root their lives in faith.

Amaze yourself! Become part of a group that is motivated to be the change. Our vision is to both challenge and encourage youth to participate in a relationship with God through healthy fun, inspiring learning and social growth. We are building a youth group that is filled with constant opportunities to experience the simplicity of God along with the power of service.
We do this through Biblical teachings, trips, and discipleship groups where issues of accountability, character, and care are stressed.
We also work collaboratively with the worship, music, and education teams to provide opportunities for youth involvement.

We strive to help them continue to dream, develop and deploy their passions. We teach them how to become a young community of believers devoted to prayer and fellowship. We base all things in love and healthy relationships, having none in need among us.

First Church Youth Group is preparing youth
to make a difference and continue to
build God’s House
: a movement that goes beyond the church walls.

Camp: FUMC encourages youth participation in the United Methodist camping ministries at Lazy F, Indianola, Twinlow and Ocean Park. Camperships to help defray costs are available through the church.

Service: FUMC youth are engaged in the Wenatchee community and beyond.
Youth are connected to missions of the larger church and participate as a group, individually, or with their families in a variety of opportunities to serve others. Senior High youth have a tradition of a summer mission trip that challenges, stretches, and bonds a team working in situations such as inner-city soup kitchens or the UMCOR supply depot in Salt Lake City.

Volunteers: We are always excited to have new volunteers join our youth ministry. If you are interested in learning more about how you can serve our youth, contact Tracy Faulkner Carlson to get connected! 509.663.1607.
