Rev. John Coleman Campbell

A fifth generation Methodist preacher, I grew up in and around parsonages in the Pacific Northwest. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound. Following college,
I taught secondary school Maths and Science in Lesotho (in southern Africa) as a Peace Corps volunteer. My call to ministry came while a student at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, where I received a Masters of Christian Education and a Masters of Divinity. I have served the Clark Fork Valley Parish, Toppenish; Tacoma: St. Paul’s; Spokane: Highland Park; and Yelm Community UMC.

Joanne and I have been married since 1988. Read her bio to learn about where our children are and what they are doing. That’s what I do when
I want to know; I ask her. I currently serve on the Seven Rivers District Leadership Team, and the Native American Ministries Committee for the Pacific Northwest Conference. I enjoy walking/running, cross stitch, Bible Study, and working in the yard.

Somebody once said, “The sign of God is that we will be led where we did not plan to go.” And I believe it!
