Faithful Living Classes
Session 3     JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2017

9:00am Faithful Living: Classes for Adults
Perspectives                                                           Room 208/2nd Floor
The Perspective Discussion Group is continuing our video discussion series: The New Testament, a series developed by Professor Bart D. Ehrman. Each segment stands alone, so it is possible to join this series at any time. We are learning some fascinating things about early Christianity on which our religion is built. Professor Ehrman’s presentations are in the everyday language that we all use.
We meet at 9:00am Sunday mornings in the Upper Room.

Compassion in Practice - The Way of Jesus          Room 007/Basement
Jesus was and is the epitome of radical compassion.  As Christians, Jesus is our guide and model for living in today’s world.  Come, join us and learn about this radical Christian compassion in the context of our wounded world, ravaged by oppression, violence and war.
Denise McGuiness and Karen Fisher will facilitate discussion of Compassion in Practice: The Way of Jesus by Frank Rogers Jr.  Books are available for $11, please call Karen at 509-860-1377 or the church office to reserve your copy.

11:15am Faithful Living: Classes for all Ages
The Bible for Beginners     Room 201 / 2nd Floor
Call It What You Want:
Bible for Beginners… Bonehead Bible… or Basic Bible 101… This is for people who think or feel they don’t know much about the Bible but would like to know more. We will attempt to answer questions like: What is the Bible? How did it come to be? How do we read it? How do we understand it? Who are those people? When and where did they live? How are they related? How does it all fit together?… But mostly, we will attempt to answer the questions of those who come and ask.
I can’t wait to find out what those questions might be.  Rev. John ~
